December 2016 – Official Update
Dear Colonists and Founders,
Today, we have an important update about the ROKH release date and the closed alpha status.
We have high ambitions for ROKH, and we’ve conceived and designed it with great passion. Our goal is to bring an original and renewed experience to the survival/sandbox genre. This comes with complex and connected game systems.
Unfortunately, we need more time than expected to integrate and polish these systems, as we want to provide you with a qualitative and stable gaming experience. We thought we could do this with just a few extra months of development, so, as you will recall, we delayed the game from September 2016 to January 2017. It appears that this brief extension is not sufficient.
Early access games are a great source of variety and innovation for the gaming community. But as their quality has increased, players have come to expect more and more from them. One of the main critiques we often read is that their development seems rushed. At Darewise, we gathered some of the best talents to avoid such pitfalls. For us, what differentiates an early access from a full release is the scope, not the quality of the player experience. We’re very excited by what we’ve achieved so far, but as you know, since the first impression is so important, we think that pushing a little harder will lead to significant improvements.
With this in mind, we’ve decided to delay ROKH’s release and its first closed alpha. We need to ensure the best possible player experience; therefore, we’ll give you a date as soon as we’re 100% confident that we can meet this target. We understand you’ll be frustrated, so are we. We can’t wait to get your feedback, but we’ve carefully thought out this decision to be sure it’s the right one. Just a little more patience and you’ll be able to enjoy an authentic Mars journey.
For Founder’s pack owners, we understand that this is a great disappointment, as the closed alpha won’t happen this month as planned. Considering that, we are offering a complete refund to anyone who requests it. Just send us an email with your details at .
Of course, we will continue to provide you with updates about the game and its development. We’re confident about what we’re creating. We are sure it will be worth the wait.
Thanks for your understanding. We hope you’ll stay tuned to our social channels. We have more and more Martian content and adventures to share with you!

Sucks its delayed but I’m happy to wait.
Better its a good solid built game then something rushed, which is bugged as hell and fails.

I’m confused, delayed from Jan to when? I was excited and booked leave. Looks like my plans have gone awry.

Delaying it simply means they do not wish to release a game that turns out to be crap. Look what happened with No Man’s Sky.
I’d rather wait longer for the game to come out spotless. Dev’s seem busy and in my personal opinion I think this games being to be brilliant.

I my mind, an extensive update on the dev process is due. Short Twitter messages don’t suffice.

Really excited about this game. Happy to see that PvP and base raiding will be a thing. I just really hope they take the time to make sure raiding has a nice balance. This could very easily make or break the game. Raiding should be challenging, but feasible. And hopefully they will have different tiers of buildings to help with balancing along with specific weapons to take down the higher tiers. All the other ideas are great, but won’t mean much if PvP and raiding aren’t done correctly. MANY survival games fail here.
